For saddle stitch binding, the page count has to be divisible by 4 due to the way pages are folded and stapled together.
Your project is printed on oversized sheets of paper, with each sheet containing four pages—two on the front and two on the back. Because of this, the total number of pages must be a multiple of 4. If your page count isn’t divisible by 4, blank pages will need to be added to meet the requirement.
